The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Africa. It is considered the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual migration where over 1.5 million animals are coming from Serengeti Tanzania in July and returning there in November is one of the biggest spectacles, but also throughout the year there is much wildlife to watch. There are about 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 species of birds. Nowhere in Africa is the wilderness more abundant, and for that reason a visitor hardly misses the big five (buffalo, elephants, leopards, lions and rhinos)
